90% of my games are racing games. I own Every Need For Speed, Gran Turismo, Burnout series and other like Race Driver Grid, Dirt 2, Motorstorm, and even Forza. Oh wait did i just say FORZA? that is my favorite racing game I am not hating any other racers but I still play:Gran Turismo series,MotorStorm series and Burnout Paradise so dont hate any other game because everyone have their own taste of games!

Seriously, you people talk about racing properly? How about racing properly when you know that there are serious consequences for hitting walls and other cars besides just some minor cosmetic damage. All the rave about this being a realist driving simulator, when all it is is over-glorified bumper cars.

@ZeeM It's not unlockable. It's just a rumor, but you obviously wouldn't know, because you've never owned the game. It was just believed it was unlockable, because as you level up the damage gets better, but in reality, the damage only increased because you were gradually making the shift from Standard Cars (with little damage) to Premium Cars (more damage). Overall though, cars in the game have little cosmetic damage.

Why do you guys care about cosmetic damage so much? You should be playing the game in cockpit view or under the hood view anyways. That's how racing sims should be played. If you play in third person view, crashing your car around to see how it looks like then go play Need for Speed or Burnout.

Cosmetic Damage is pointless. I hope in GT6 we'll see Mechanical Damage, because that's what really matters in a racing simulator.

Damage isn't unlockable... I was level 10-ish when i totaled my first car. heck I'm level 36 now and I can wreck anycar i want.
