My GG Grandfather came from Ennis. I wish I could find more information about him. His name was James Slattery and he came to the US sometime between 1813 (born) and 1850 (first US census). If anyone knows anything about James, please email me at zaxaz at mac dot com. I would love to reconnect with long long lost family in Ennis Ireland!!

Sometimes spellings are changed as they pass from person to person.... do you have roots in this area??
The Irish "Burrenfada" translates as "The Long Road" The village or "Townland" (smaller than a village) of "Burrenfada" is near Cranny just off the N68; Ennis - Lissycassy - Kilrush Road.
Hope that helps

Thanks James for up loading this video of beautiful Ennis. Groups of us as young people used to cycle to Ennis from Limerick in the good old days in the mid to late 50's. I lived in Limerick and Kilkee for many years and also traveled back and forth frequently always stopping in Ennis for half days. Personal question if I may? Your name could be very Irish but your accent is definitely not, least of all a Clare accent! It is positively a..... ah well,...... you know, accent!!
