Filmed with Swann Blackhawk wireless camera mounted on stem. The Beast is the longest of the excellent trails at the Coed y Brenin MTB centre. Unfortunately this video misses a few of the downhills as I got mud on the lens - so had to cut those bits out.

  • awesome video! Are there any freeride sections at coed y brenin?

  • I didn't know free-ride routes existed officially. You could just turn off the trail at any time and head randomly into the trees ! How's that for free-riding ! Seriously though, you'd be mad to try, and end up in A&E, but I guess it's possible, and many trail centres are away from hikers/ramblers so you hopefully wouldn't run anyone over if you headed off the beaten track....

  • Youv've got a puncture at the end bro!

  • Didn't stop Nick riding down that last rocky section though! And that's without a rear brake. He's since bought new wheels!

  • nice vid, like the stem cam. what's the tune starting at 1:52? it's well nice

  • looks great. nice footage :-)

  • awesome video man! went there last week. amazing place. nutter doing it with a puncture and no rear brake!! next time im gona miss out the pointless 6km climb on the forest road.

  • Great vid and great decents but to much road climbing. Needs to be more technical climbs. Saying that certainly give it another go next time i visit

  • i can ride this trail like a badass.

  • wow i live near there

  • well i think your friends are talking out of thier bumholes, coed y brenin is still very demanding to ride and with some very much needed improvements its even better, even better why dont you get off your bumhole and come and ride here.

  • Coed Y Brenin was always a great course, but I heard from some friends that they've smoothed it off so that even people who shop at Halfords can use it now.
