No, he wasn't playing Russian roulette. It was an automatic that he'd just finished cleaning and had forgotten there was one in the chamber. The angle of the entry of the bullet into his head was upward, so he didn't have it up against his temple.

Terry the guy on the left killed himself in real life by mistake he played russian roulette with a gun by pointing it at his brain thinking it was not loaded and said "don't worry, it's not loaded" and pulled the trigger

@sct353 the bbc wiped the original video tapes of some 1976 episodes, including the legs and co naming episode.a handful of episodes survive from the previous years and individual performances, from 1976 the bbc started archiving their tapes.thats why they have started reruns from 76.i dont know why a handful of 76 shows are missing though, when theres months of complete shows preceding.

Funnily enough I did remember Chicago being on the show the week before they reached number one, but until the BBC4 repeat showing of the episode recently, had not recalled it was just Terry, Peter and Danny. I also recollect Noel hoping they'd get to no.1 next week. Does anyone know why BBC4 are missing some episodes out? The next one they screened was Chicago's 3rd week at no.1, so two episodes missed; one of which featured the result of the name the dance group competition (Legs & Co.).
