Got the Adaptronic controlling this engine but still need to work on it obviously. ISC might not be doing what it's supposed to. :-\ Being the first start up I think it went pretty well considering the complexity of the ECU!

  • Very awesome man! How well did the V8 engine fit?

  • @kushnugz This truck is too much fun to drive. =]The 1UZ fit under the hood pretty easily actually. The headers were a pain in the butt to fit between the shock towers but it can be done with some work. Make sure and check out my other videos too.

  • @casmitherz Already went through all your videos. Post some videos when the truck is done. Always wondered what a V8 would be like in the Tacoma. And yeah, I bet the headers were a pain. Headers on the 3.4 are a pain so I can only imagine with less space it sucks. Whats your gas mileage like

  • @kushnugz I get about the same as what I was getting with the 3rz, 17mpg or so. I have been tuning for max performance only but later on I'll do another program for efficiency which will get 22+? and it will still have a very good amount of power with that. It's been a long road and I still work on it all the time.

  • @kushnugz What's funny is that this was trying to run without 1 or 2 cylinders working for some reason. The timing was off one tooth. It's really really easy to not get it exact when you are lining everything up. I even rotated the thing a few revolutions and check it when I first put the belt on. I thought it was going to be more difficult to actually fit it in the engine bay.

  • it's about time, 2 years in the making.

  • @ntwaddel IT LIVESS!!! MWUAHAHAHA!!
