She seems to have lungs more powerful then any other female opera singer i have heard, and she always looks like she isnt even trying....awesome, i would love to see her live some day.

Elina is tremendous! Listen to that rich full tone! She communicates the message of the music superbly. I have always loved Callas' Carmen but I also love Garanca's Carmen. Let's appreciate and love her for the great artist she is.

@msnnnbc No, actually she only wore a dar wig, but not dark coloured contacts. In the 'Carmen' DVD, you can see her blue eyes very well. And I am really glad for that, because otherwise that cruel, "man eating" look of Garanca's Carmen wouldn't have quite the same effect. The cold, blue eye colour adds to the general coldness of her look.
