So I took a 3 second HD greenscreen clip of Cowboy Frank and wanted to mess around with some different animation styles... I forced a 10 fps framerate to cut down on the number of frames I'd be editing and to give a more cartoony feel.

First clip uses the "stamp" filter in photoshop, imported the frames as a sequence into after effects, inverted the colors, and threw it on the chalkboard with an add blending layer.

2nd clip had all of the frames traced in illustrator, imported into AE, adjusted the levels and colors

3rd clip uses the cutout filter in photoshop which can be a little random, imported into AE, made a duplicate layer with the "find edges" effect slapped on with a darken blending mode... makes kind of a cool effect.

Just screwing around with some graphic ideas for now, but you'll probably see them in some upcoming projects... -j
