Here was a test run using an alternate fuel.
The model has been re-based to a marble plinth.

About two hundred running hours (I guess).

No signs of wear. Do not oil the power or displacer pistons, ever. Keep them clean. Cover unit when not in use, keep in a dry place for long term preservation?

They are sold on eBay. I removed and discarded the wood base, and bought, for under $20, a massive, black marble "Oscar" (tm) type of base, from the makers of that award base. This mass-loading increases efficiency of the HOG: less vibration, no "dancing" around = more power to do real, toy work. Fun!

What did you put in the burner? Crack?

Crack is too costly! Don't do drugs! (lol).

That was as test using gelled meths, a Canadian brand, similar to USA's Sterno, but it is like thick cream instead of Jello.

I still run this engine regularly and use the OEM burner, but modded. It can run for 88 minutes on merely 8mm of methyl alcohol. It's quite efficient, as these things go. See video responses?

Glad you liked. These little engines are for sale on ebay too and come with a tiny meths lamp (oh no, more jokes coming I can tell).

The meths lamp makes the engine run VERY fast.
