Scott Hahn is a convert to Catholicism. He used to be an anti-Catholic protestant who converted people to the protestant religion. Yet, he has more faith and knowledge about the Catholic faith than 99.9 percent of lifelong Catholics! God bless him!

@sedg1 Re: concerning a comment that you made a very long time ago. Three years ago to be exact. You let the comment stand which of itself invites others like me to make comment. And my comment is, what is your point? As a Roman Catholic am I troubled that you are a non-Catholic Christian? Not at all. Scott Hahn is not asking you or any other non-Catholic to convert to Catholicism. He himself felt called to become Roman Catholic. This man is informed. Try to be open, listen and learn from him.

Thankyou Scott for answering and giving more clarity so something I always knew and understood as a Catholic, but couldn't ever explain quite so eloquently.....The Scriptural breakdown is invaluable, and the beauty of the Eucharist and how we partake in the 'Wedding Feast' too - Indeed it's our garments. Many thanks...

@sedg1 Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and they asked Peter and the other apostles, “What are we to do, my brothers?” 38 Peter [said] to them, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the holy Spirit..."
Trinitarian baptism makes you a member of the Church. Acts 2:41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand persons were added that day.

Beautiful you don't need to be a scholar to understand (2/3)

@sedg1 Wow, in just a few sentences, you have (with your vast but simple intellect) answered all the questions! The rest of us are in awe. St. Augustine, Ignatius of Antioch, St. Jerome and St. Thomas Aquinas were all just a bunch of dunderheads compared to you. If only you could have been there for these giants of theology you could have set history on its right path!

@sedg1 It not "sola scriptura" alone. you have no spirit of truth in yourself. man's wisdom is foolishness to God. By the Holy Spirit and the Grace of God, you can be able to see what God sees, based on the Bible, Church traditions, and the teachings of the authority of the church.
When the Philippian prison guard asked Paul, "What must I do to be saved?,"
did Paul answer, "You must become a member of the Roman Catholic church?"
No, he responded:
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved" Acts 16:31

How can you believe in Jesus if you do not believe what He says?
