So this is how I did it.

  • Thanks for the info, but for some reason I can't designate the x and y limits properly. When I press the upper left corner for one nob and the lower right for another, any movement on the xy pad makes both knobs turn in the same direction. Any suggestions?

  • @highme32 Check the Settings in the Korg app for the Nano pad and make sure that the XY pad is setup correctly.

  • i know it might sounds stupid but what is the xypad .. i just ordered my nano midi`s all three so i`ll be back for some help about mapping and other types :)))

  • @tamaskrisztian It's the gray box next to the pads.

  • @Sirk0mplex blog.dubspot.com/video-tutorial-making-a-dubstep-bass-in-ableton-live/

  • @Sirk0mplex I used a square / saw wave sample I found on the net. than loaded it into simpler. than use the LFO built simpler on the filter.

  • What is the Korg App? Is that in abelton or Korg software?

  • Thx 4 good tutorial!

Only one thing that should have been mentioned:

before mapping the XY pad in Ableton, you shoul do the following in Korg Kontrol Editor - set the X-axis to Control Change 1 for example, and Y-axis to CC2.

The default settings on my NanoPad were like this: X for CC1 and Y for Pitch Bend (or vice-versa, don't remember...).

Maybe your default settings were different...

  • @xlingk yeah i got it i was an idiot by not recognizing x and y :D math anywah i got my key and pad working fine but i don`t know how to get my controller work it dosn`t do anything the little light flashing in the corner but it dosn`t seem to be doing anything at all ... any help welcome in public or in private . If some here to check out midi`s for sure it is a whole new world will open by using them ... if you don`t own one you don`t know ableton at all :DDD
