Im sorry Im kind of confused about one thing (sorry if this is a really stupid question) The thing you were using called "Meego" doesnt come with the computer right? Its a program you have to download? And it operates on windows 7 starter?..

@MsSuperChannel well, on the unit I tested it was the OS that came with the computer. In some other countries though it comes with Windows 7 Starter by default, and only 1 GB of RAM

will get a vide on that one as soon as i get a new asus netbook. Linpus Meego (which I'm not sure if it's identical to Meego 1.2, my experience with this OS is quite limited) seems overall more solid and with better features, plus it will get support from Intel's App store and thus get rid of its most important problem right now: the difficulty in finding and installing apps for it.

how would you compare this MeGo OS to the technology ASUS has? I forget what ASUS calls it, but something like ExpressGate? I remember you did a brief coverage of it a while ago. I'd actually like to see a video on that if you get a chance.

@damgudluken Still, in my country the d257 sells with this OS alone and no Windows and that will be a problem for the average buyer for sure. If offered as an alternative fast OS next to Windows, like Express Gate is, then we'd have a completely different talk and I'd probably appreciate it more than I do right now :P
