@a5401 i see what you're talking about. but, your feet are only considered planted when you've established hold on the ball. in this case we can't see the ball but for it to be a no call i'm assuming he established hold, ie held it with both hands only after his right foot had hit the ground, then the shoulder fake and pivot on right.

i'm not a kobe fan btw so i'm not defending him at all.

@a5401 Dude, Kobe's footwork is just like a layup. He first step was on his left foot, then he took another step with the right. Watch how he only takes one step on both individual foot, which is exactly like a normal footwork of a layup. That's the beauty of his footwork, perfectly clean.

the only problem is when he stopped

if he hop stepped on both feet when he stops dribbling

that's not considered traveling...

but when he stopped dribbling

he stopped moving his left foot first

then he stopped moving his right foot

which is why it is traveling.

@a5401 You know when someone first passes it to you, you can pivot, then bounce the ball, stop and pivot again. Not traveling.
