Horse gone crazy in parade!

Small town 4th of July parade I caught this crazy action on video. My Uncle was in a parade and his horse went a little crazy. His right leg ended up in a cast, fractured.

Horribly fitting tack + clumsy, heavy, yanking hands = ignorant rider who shouldn't be in a parade where he can hurt people with his inexperience.

Maybe if he wasn't hanging on the horses bloody mouth instead of pull & release that wouldn't of happened.....

welll if he wasnt pissing about with the horses mouth and yanking that hard...he wouldnt have flipped over....soo yeahh no sympathy...hope he learnt his lesson and the poor horse is okay....:/

@chrisherself may peoples reaction is and i meant to say my leg is now destroyed hit the rong key i live in pain 24/7 but that guy was stupid to have tack to biig i rewatched it and i agree his hands whre to strong i do not pull bacck when my horse rears cause if you do the horse will fipp my horse reatred on ice and fell on my leg is it now completely destroyed

@Gingersnap27239 No, my reaction is not to pull back harder when the horse rears. Yes, it has happened to me. Glad your leg wasn't wrecked from your fall though. Happy trails.

parade 101: always have non fitting tack and an inexperienced rider!!! especally when there are gonna be screaming childern!! and also when the horse starts to spook you always want to pull the rein s extra hard cause that just always helps and if that doesnt work and the horse rears and you fall everyone should always run to the rider instead of the horse thats goin a bit nuts over in the middle of the road

So the horse is just left to roam by riders. Bystanders coming to help the rider spook the horse, causing people to copy what they see in movies in an effort to stop the horse(ie: guy in red at the end of the video raising hands).
