Raider Ridge Part 1 Climbing Switchbacks Durango Colorado.mpg

This is the first of the Raider Ridge videos. It is 15 minutes of the switchback climb we did fairly late one day. Quite doable thanks to the switchbacks, but a fairly long climb nonetheless. Although shorter than the actual climb, it will probably be too long to watch for all but the most enthusiastic mountain bikers. I kept it long in order to give the effect of the relentless climb that it is and to show the trail crew. TRAILS 2000, a very active trails advocacy group in Durango, is seen working on completing a new section of trail on which Ben and I were lucky enough to claim first tracks, its sections having been joined 20 minutes prior to our arrival.

The next video is of the actual Raider Ridge Trail which runs the edge of the ridge overlooking the Fort Lewis College mesa and Durango below.
