New York City has 3,800 homeless youth, almost half of whom are LGBT. However, the city only provides 250 youth shelter beds, forcing most to survive alone in the streets.

Between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day 2013, the Ali Forney Center will release a weekly slideshow created by its Executive Director Carl Siciliano, documenting individual homeless LGBT youths describing what they endure as they struggle to survive without shelter.
