On language: exploration, failure or menace?

Malaysia is a multi-cultural country. People of different races living together and sometimes speaking the same language do not necessarily communicate very well. People of the same ethnic background sometimes do not even speak the same language or dialect. Communication is no simple thing. Language can become a tool not for communicating meaning but for creating fear and anxiety in others. for Break-ing 击破 Ka Si Pe Cah is a theatre project that gathered together three Malaysian theatre directors with their own distinct styles and diverse cultural backgrounds, culminating in a true intra-cultural collaboration, crossing the boundaries of different cultures, art fields and language to bring you a unique and memorable feast of theatre arts. It is a theatre performance where "language" comes to life and where life emerges from "break-ing".
