A fantastic video of Al Martino singing his final single, "Trying To Find My Way", released in 2009. The beautiful lyrics are credited to Joe Vulpis, the producer of Al Martino's as yet unreleased final album.
I'm certainly not claiming rights to this clip; it's only intended to show that the great man still had it right up to the end - and as you can hear, this is a song well worth downloading from legitimate sources (CD Baby have it, as well as Amazon and iTunes). Let's all keep our fingers crossed that we see it on an official CD release with other Martino tracks.
Obituaries quoted Mr. Martino as saying "I cant sell records in stores anymore; everything is online and I dont have access to younger audiences. But 20 or 30 years from now, how are kids going to feel romance?" - to this 22 year old's mind, the music stores could do with a damn sight more singles of this calibre.
I love this video. Loved working with Al. Miss him every day.
His music and legacy will live forever.
