  • I use this polish and love it, but is this actually used as a substitute for those traditional thick white wax? I don't know why but I feel as if those traditional waxes seem to provide a better protection, how does this turtle wax ice liquid polish do in terms of protection and uv blocking?

  • @bludika ICE Liquid Polish is a substitute for wax. To maximize durability, wait about 10 minutes before removing. The longer the product is allowed to remain in contact with the finish before wiping, the better the durability.

  • ...also, quick question - should I be waxing the car in addition to ICE in order to protect the paintwork, or can I just use car shampoo and ICE?

  • @jonleestone You can just use car shampoo and ICE, however we recommend once a year to use some type of paintwork cleanser to remove any staining, light scratching or swirling, to improve surface gloss and clarity.

  • @jonleestone You can just use a car wash/shampoo and ICE. ICE helps to remove swirl marks, protect the paint finish and leave a high shine. ICE is easy to use too. You can apply in direct sunlight, and it won’t leave white powdery residue behind. It actually helps improve the look of your trim.

  • @TurtleWaxTommy so you shouldn't use the ice liquid polish and then the ice wax paste after, just one or the other?

  • @TurtleWaxTommy quick question so i apply this bad boy using the applicator pad onto my car and the longer i leave it the better it is right? then after 10 mins i can buff it and it will be shiny and preserve the paint right?

  • Does this product wash off easily?

  • Ok iam a mobil detailer and a good one and i showed one of my customers who asked me if this product was any good and i told him i won't tell you i will show you.washed one side of truck except for the front fender. the part that beaded up was the fender, in other words this stuff washed right off. No durability,Gliptone Gt 1 paste wax 2 coats use claybar first...........Money and that will last.

  • So is this the only thing I should be using on my paint or is this a product I use from time to time and I should use something like Turtle Wax Ice in between?

  • Ahhh and what a quest it shall be haha. How much does a black box set you back ?

  • @iSpySTi If you have a black car, have a look at the turtle wax Black box kit. I have seen a few videos about it and it seems to give black cars the wettest and darkest shine.

Good luck with your quest for car shine mate.

  • @TheProntoOne Ok thanks, i have a black car and just didnt want to have the clear coat fade because im trying to make it shiny haha.

  • @iSpySTi TBH I have no idea. I use it on a two year old car and as far as I am aware it does not remove clear coat. It is not abrasive and will not damage paint so long as your have a clean applicator sponge. It just shines surfaces and I doubt it will be able to cover up many obvious imperfections.

  • @TheProntoOne Does the polish actually remove clear coat / paint or does it just fill in imperfections ?
