That's a very technical definition of poverty though isn't it? Someone from a comfortable background who goes to Law School is technically on a low income. But they retain all the other advantages, and may have affluent parents on the wings ready to help them out. When they then leave and get a job, that statistically shows up as someone moving out of poverty. But that's not what most people imagine social mobility as meaning. So we need to look behind these stats.
