Dans le numéro du mois de février de l'émission Motors Collector, présentation et essai de la Porsche 930, appelée aussi 911 Turbo, produite entre 1975 et 1989. Jusqu'en 1977, la Porsche était équipée d'un moteur de 3l de 260ch ; à partir de 1977, le bloc est un 3,3l de 300ch.

  • @140gas "For Motors Collectors the days follow but doens't look same. It's during a beautiful sunny day in Sologne that you could drive an exception and collector car, a Porsche 911 Turbo most call 930. 14 production years, from 1975 to 1989. 14 years of real happiness for the amators of sport cars with turbo engine.

    The first Porsche 930 have a 3.0 260hp engine for the version between 1964 and 1977.

    In front of the success of the car, Porsche gives it from 1977 a 3.3 300hp engine.

  • @140gas 40 more than the first generation. The exteriors modifications are essentially in the back spoiler. In the Porsche language, the "whale tail" is replaced by the "tea tray". 300hp in 1977 a symbolism power that authorize performances never seen in a serie Porsche and made it the fastest german car.

    Our tested Porsche 930 has a 3.3 flat-six who develop 300hp at 5.500 RPM. A torque of 412 n.m. at 4.000 RPM for a weight of 1.300kg (4,3hp/kg).

  • @140gas and has an injection 4jet + a oevreating turbo KKK with intercooler. Our test model benefit of 4 brakes with ventilated disk, 4 Fuch's rims in light alloy with, in the front, 205/55 ZR16 tyres and, in the back, 225/55 ZR16 tyres.

    Wides wings and an aerodynamic group with spoiler, the 930 makes the difference with the others 911 !

    The interior is typical from Porsche with the essential but complete : counter, tachometer, oils temperature and, on this model, turbo pressure...

  • @140gas Not forgetting the propulsion 4 gears gearbox.

    Since the first meters and the first kilometers, the Porsche 930 impresses with it two faces engine : a mix between supercar and GT. Peaceful and flexible when we are in low speed, like a 911 SC, from 3.800RPM, the Turbo become a fire ball when it turbo starts work. A power surge that we must dose or get to the fault quickly. With is long 4 gearbox, in 1st, we approach the 100km/h, 2nd more than 160, 3rd, more than 200 and 4th, it's 260 !...

  • @140gas Amazing but we must keep the beast ! Yes, I forgot ! All of this on track, of course ! Little historic moment, the Porsche 930 Turbo Coupé has been produced at 14.500 copies ! For us, for Motor Collectors, the Porsche 930 represent the sportcars of the 80's : Power, virility, pleasure to drive and sport. Amazing features, now it's a phenomenon and it represents a car monument !

    More than 30 years later, it does and will do everytime part of the 911 myth with it exceptional look....

  • @140gas The 930 is now available in the second hand market with an amazing engine and nice performances ! But be careful to see the origin of the car, the american model being less powerful !

    My english is not perfect so I think that there's a lot of mistake but it's understandable I think ;)
