"Just kiss me, already," I said, a little impatient. He grabbed my face and brought me into a long desperate kiss. I pulled him down to the floor with me, which brought us into the position with him on top of me.
He was outlining my curves with his hands and my arms were around his neck, my hands playing with his hair.
Then it stopped. He stopped and he got off of me before I could pull him back.
"What?" I ask, out of breath.
"You're my student, I can't do this with you," he moves his hair back, seeming nervous, and he began to pace.
I stood up and stopped him right in front of me.
"If things were to end bad, I wouldn't rat you out," I say.
What was I doing? Was I really implying a real relationship between the two of us?
"It's against school policy," he begins.
"Don't tell me you don't feel this fire between us. If you hadn't you wouldn't have kissed me for that long," my eyes started to water, I was angry, and when I was angry I cried.
"What do you expect me to do?" he was really confused.
"They say before you start a war you better know what you're fighting for," I begin. "Figure it out, I'll be in my room," I walked inside my room.
He started this, and now he wanted to end it, I could feel it. I feel like I am going crazy, all these feeling I've never felt are rushing to me. Did I really fall in love with my teacher, or was I in love with him all this time and just didn't know it?
"Can I come in?" "Yeah," he came in and sat next to me on my bed.
He pulled me into a warm embrace.
"Jenny, listen," I braced myself for his rejection. "In this war, if love is what you need, a soldier I will be," I looked up at him.
"What are you saying?"
"I'll throw away my faith babe, just to be with you," I stood up straight, and kissed him. "We have to keep this quiet until you graduate, though,"
"Sometimes to win, you've got to sin," I tell him, and we smile at each other.
You can guess what happened that night. I don't have to give you all that detail, but I will tell you what happened afterward.
Dan, Mr. Venn, proposed to me when I graduated six months later. School wasn't too happy when they found out about us, and how we were sneaking around just to see each other. They almost fired Dan, but he's just too valuable to fire, so they didn't.
We got married a year later, when I found a job as a history teacher at a high school near Harvard. Now we're trying to get pregnant. We want a lot of the same things like two children, live in a big house with a big yard, and more. It's like we were made for each other.
This wouldn't have happened if I hadn't fallen in love with my English teacher. Glad we found what we were fighting for in our war, and made it.
