Coalition to Preserve Community protests at Columbia University's planned expansion proposal to demolish 17 acres in Harlem to development build a biomedical research level-3 lab, a major component (30%) of its proposed development.. Columbia's proposal will demolish 17 acres of Harlem, eliminate 800 quality jobs, force over 400 long-time residents to relocate.   • Hi, my name is Ronald J Lewis. I'm a filmmaker currently working on a documentary about Gentrification in Harlem. I wanted to ask you if I could use this footage for my film. I plan to release the film in 2010 and I guarantee that you'll receive a credit for the film.

  • The funny thing is you guys open with an Obama campaign song. Obama went to Columbia University. BTW you don't own the sidewalk the public does. If you block a sidewalk people have to walk in the street then they are in danger of getting hit by cars. That's a public safety issue.
