I wonder if any of those straight men standing behind him would want him dating their daughters ..... THIS is "self loathing gay" at it's most blatant. I only hope that when he comes to know that his "former gayness" is pure bullshit, that he doesnt throw himself off a bridge or something

Randy Thomas is no different than any of the rest of the so called "ex gay" self loathing LGBT people. Integrity, honesty, congruety .. none of these are words that have any meaning at all to them. Whatever it takes to promote their bullshit, they will say. Take note of the continuing exodus of "Exodus" leaders ... including the very founders of the organization .. people who know that the entire movement is nothing but pure BULLSHIT.

This man, and so many like him, seem so deeply unhappy that I just feel sorry for them. I was forced into ex-gay therapy by my boss (who is likely gay himself) and was fired when I refused to go any longer. My boss and my coworkers, as Southern Baptists, just seemed so empty inside, just like Randy Thomas here. I guess that's what happens when you deny what God himself gave you, whether it's your sexuality or something else.

Wow. His example only PROVES that this legislation is necessary. Is he that stupid? Just because HIS boss was willing to listen to him and remedy the situation doesn't mean that all bosses will. He was lucky.
I mean, by saying that he remedied the situation by talking to the boss he admits that there is something wrong with discriminating against him for being gay. The laws are for people who DON'T have receptive bosses like his.
Duh.
My suspicion is that Randy Thomas has some unresolved self-loathing which he is projecting onto the GLBT community at large - therefore, he is lashing out at GLBT people by opposing legislation that would grant them basic protections in the workplace, because of his own unresolved issues, and 'unfinished business'. My suspicion is that Randy has probably experienced a lot of rejection, and has a lot of internalized anger. I am not judging or condemning him - I just think I understand him.
