Raw Footage:
Location: Logan Lane, Fernley, NV
Fire erupted around 11:00 pm Tuesday night at Paramount Industries in Fernley. Flames and heavy smoke reached skyward into the night as 500 wood pallets lined with rubber burned. The Fire Department circled the fire on three sides to combat the blaze. Smoke could be seen nestled between the mountains on I80 as reported from witnesses driving into Fernley from Reno. The fire burned so hot it created a tornado effect in the center at times. Scanner chatter revealed other agencies including Wadsworth, Silver Springs and NAS at the ready to help douse the fire. A call went out to contact Reno Airport to advise them of heavy smoke in the area.
The cause was spontaneous combustion from vapors forming within improperly stacked pallets.
**Extra Feature - Ghost Walker?**
Check the frames between 1:17 and 1:18. You can see a figure walking through and out of the fire to the left. This is not a firefighter. From the distance we were filming, this figure would have to be 12 feet tall.
What do you think it is?
