Part 2 of 2 videos filmed on 07/11/09.
The East Lancashire Railway held it's final diesel themed day of 2009, on Saturday 7th November 2009.
Five locos were out in force, four of which were on passenger duties. They consisted of BR Class 24 D5054, BR Class 35 Hymek D7076 (currently running on the engine from a Western, hence the nickname 'Wesmek'), and the three resident 37's - Ex EWS 37418 (Pectinidae) and 37109, plus BR Railfreight 37901 Mirrlees Pioneer working a demonstration goods train which ran at several times of the day.
In Part Two, D5054 (top and tailing with D7076) powers a Rawtenstall bound service out of Summerseat, and approaches Ramsbottom (where most of the action was recorded).
37109 and 37418 arrive from Rawtenstall and depart to Bury Bolton Street, as D5054 and D7076 continue on their journey Northwards (watch out carefully for cameo appearances from 55022RSG and bradleigh10!).
37901 Mirrlees Pioneer also arrives at Ramsbottom with the demonstration goods.
Back at Bury Bolton Street, the action concludes with 37109 (top and tailing with 37418) and D5054 (top and tailing with D7076) departing with their respective services to Rawtenstall.
Thanks to HSTJohnny, Luke McMahon, 87006, Dave Martin, Chris Gallagher, 55022RSG, bradleigh10 and trainzrule4eva for the company and laughs.
Great vid. Pity I couldn't have been there, lack of cash taking it's toll! :(
Nice see 37901 working freight again!
