    Exactly how do you "toss" an item? I've done it accidentally, but I don't seem to be able to do so on purpose.

    Release and item(s) and instantly grab them again. You'll be able to reset the time ring this way and make 100x multiple combos. The update with tutorial about "tossing" is on the way.
