Here are the last 4 minutes of regulation, of the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets playoff game from Jan. 3, 1987. The Browns won in the 2nd overtime in one of the great games in Cleveland Stadium. I did not have a VCR at the time. I had a video camera on a tripod aimed at the TV. A patch cord went from the earphone jack, into the audio input on the video recorder.

The next week the Browns played Denver.....but that's another story.

  • I still nearly jump out of my seat when I see WebStar catch that pass on the 5 yrd line. I was at this game with my dad, who passed away this year, and I will NEVER forget the absolute pandemonium that broke out when the Browns tied up the game. We knew they were going to win. Sadly, this is STILL the greatest victory the Browns have won in my lifetime.

  • Two things - Bill Cowher, special teams coach!

The second - How great was Don Criqui and Bob Trumpy? Two great announcers.

  • wish we saw the end

  • holding called on a punt - are you f*cking kidding me?

  • The announcers for that AFC Championship Game between the Browns and the Broncos in January 1987 (one month before I was born) are Dick Enberg, Bob Griese and Merlin Olsen (R.I.P.). Am I right?

  • If Kosar was the Browns quarterback, then who is the QB for the Jets at that time?

  • The Greatest Cleveland Browns quarterbacks for me are: Otto Graham, Frank Ryan, Brian Sipe, Bernie Kosar, Vinny Testaverde and Derek Anderson.

  • @toeazy34 the brennan game was the snowstorm game against Houston in 1988 with Don Strock at QB.

  • @intsoccersuperstar1 He played for the Browns as well. But yes looking back it is a little weid. The Steelers also got Noll from the Browns as well.

  • And the next game for Cleveland after this win was the heartbreaking "Drive" by Elway.

  • @Mr86kmartclock but 2 outta the 4 afc losses at least they didnt have a coach that ran his mouth about winning a super bowl

  • I remember watching this games with my pop when I was just a youngster living in Kent, Ohio.
