Guy Meets Zombie (Short Film)

It's the end of the world, and a hapless guy visits his friend only to discover he has been killed by zombies...

This is something a friend and I chucked together with a digital camera in an afternoon, so apologies for the picture quality, shameless stock footage, continuity goofs, lame acting... Apart from that, I think it turned out pretty damn good!

Some of the audio is taken from Night of the Living Dead (1968), and is supposedly public domain. Most of the music was downloaded from the net, and I believe it to be royalty free but if anyone wants me to remove it I will. Thanks brother, I'm flattered! I've not done anything film-related in a while as I'm working on getting some better equipment and developing some low-budget scripts. This was just a little trial we made for fun, but I will hopefully have something a little more "polished" to upload in the next couple of months. :)

It was shot on a crappy digital stills camera so there was no option to do that unfortunately. Also, I dropped the camera lens-first into the sink full of our vomit mixture (crushed Weetabix, milk, soup and syrup - which didn't make it into the final edit), which accounts for some of the blurring in the later scenes. I'm gonna buy a DV camera though, so the next one will look 100 times better.

Well, he's carrying a gun because the dead are returning to life everywhere (if you turn up the sound, you can hear the radio reports I put in, playing from a radio in the background), so he is carrying a weapon to protect himself in case he bumps into any zombies while he's walking out in the street. He's not supposed to be tough, just a regular guy. He also doesn't throw up because of the blood - but because he is taken by surprise and in shock at his friend's death.
