Shankara Orchestra plays Raga Malkauns in the Hungarian Cultural Centre (New-Delhi). Musicians from left to right are Nawab Khan (tabla), Romain Loyer (sitar - France), Shailendre Janardan(violin), Pt. Rajeev Janardan (sitar), Dr. Kamala Shankar (shankar-guitar), Tóth Szabi (sitar - Hungary).

  • @titchymcmidget I guess you can somewhat say that. The repertoire of what they are playing is very old, hundreds of years in fact, but I guess the organization of the performance is more contemporary. It is a quite beautiful combination of instruments. Raag Malkauns in Teentaal. Very nice!
