hi i was wondering what is the difference between tiptronic and multitronic, and also, im looking to buy the same car, do you recomend 2.0tdi or V6 2.7 tdi ? i was thinking that u can chip the 2.0 tdi and those are cheaper cars, thanx

@BradPablo99: Hi, multitronic doesn't change the gears. It is like variator scooter gearbox :) Tiptronic simply selects speeds and you recognize the moment when the gear changes. If I had enough money, I'd buy 6cylinder diesel. It has better sound, better "drive" and the consumption is the same, may be even lower than 2.0TDi. For such vehicle like Audi A6, 6cylinder is much more suitable than 4cylinder engine.

Nice, that engine is good. I have a question though, i hope you can answer it. Whats the difference between your 2.0TDI 170 and a 136bhp engine. i mean hardware differences..

U can chip them both to 191bhp.

This engine is unfortunately not so good solution for Audi A6. Much better is 6-cylinder diesel engine. Nevertheless this 2.0TDi was originally 140PS chippes up to ca 170PS. The more powerful engine 2.0TDi 170PS (known i.e. from audi A4, Passat, Octavia RS,..) was not available for audi A6. The difference between these two engines is surely in the ECU and may be in different setting of turbocharger. But I'm sorry, this is only my personal opinion.

This audi is equipped with multitronic gear box obviously with manual tiptronic mode and also "S" mode. This video was taken in "S" mode. Any other comments ?

I would recommend to fasten the seat belt @ such speed :-) because you never know... but acceleration is amazing

I dont like multitronic.

As you say, is like a scooter; and on a car of this kind, accelerate and have a sound of a scooter...is very bad.

I try a Lexus with the cvt...just 2 minutes, I hate it.

Is better the tiptronic imho; also here in Italy (we sell spareparts) many customers complain on multitronic, with problems.

You could always buy the engine seperate at a later date :) I'm sure you can pick them up for around £2000 from a used car.
