The playful opening of the third movement is a portrayal of a carillon, a personal reminiscence of the composer's childhood when he waited for the sorbetero (dirty ice cream vendor) to pass his house. The familiar tune "Sitsiritsit Alibangbang" is used as a theme accompanied by the primary theme, which compliments the solo stops of the organ. A sudden interruption happens when another popular folk song "Atin Cu Pung Singsing" is introduced using the reed stops of the organ, leading to the playful recapitulation.
The piece was commissioned for the 35th International Bamboo Organ Festival and is part of the growing series of compositions for the said event.
Composer Organist: Alejandro Consolacion II;
Conductor: Eudenice Palaruan;
Performed at Union Church of Manila on 10 Oct 2010 with Festival Symphony Orchestra.
