Something I've noticed is that you hold onto items until you really need them, passing up opportunities to use them at a still-advantageous time and collect a new one. Isn't there a point where it becomes better to use items to both help yourself and dump it to get a fresh one?

@MasterVash You're probably right; I do hold onto my items for a long time. Though it's not always because I want to save them for later; sometimes I just forget or am distracted :p. And actually in the first race I was trying to win without the mushroom but during the fourth lap I realized that wasn't possible, so I just went for it.

you just made me download some mario kart hacks and play them on my super everdrive to play them on a real snes ^_^ I tried mario kart pro

@demonicloud Yay! I hope you enjoy them. I don't have a Super Everdrive but I just Googled it and it seems cool.. I'd definitely love to play SMK Pro Edition on a real SNES. :)
