if you actually read the offical web page, the launch date is December 20th and if you pre order and registar your code at swtor.com you get to access the game on the 15th of december. So no, its not a day early, its 5 days early and in the beta this weekend i was able to get to lvl 25, so 2 more extra days early would put me arond level 30 by the time the 20th rolled around. So if you didnt pre order you would be at level 1 while i would be at lvl 30. so yes, the pre order is worth it to me

@Showoff45Cornerback I saw that the game was supposed to come out on the 21 but i guess they changed it up when i looked at it. Plus can you even keep your beta character at launch

@TheSith1111 no, you dont get to keep your beta character. but it only took me 2 days and 4 hours to go from 1 to 25 so in 5 days i should be able to get to 30 no problem just in time for the actual december 20th launch

Also got a mail from BioWare (not on this PC, so I don't recall the exact date, although I believe it was Nov 18th)

saying that if you registered on the site before Nov 18th, you'd be given a guaranteed invite for the coming week-end beta "stress test".

Glad to finally have some form of invite, been following ever since Oct 08, and never received any, lol. xD

@Teraskas ty sir. i was wondering about the physical copy and geting to play early also. answered everything for me. also i got into doh guild. should be alot of fun. disciples of hatred. darthoverlordy on the forum also. hopfully see you on and going to pre order from whatever is cheapest then.

You can pre-order from where you like, I don't live in the US but from what I heard you shouldn't pre-order from Gamestop as they are either extremely late with handing out a pre-order code, while some Gamestop retailers don't have codes at all.

I'd recommend buying either a physical copy (the Standard Edition) from Walmart in that case, or if you already have an Origin account and want the "bonus" items that the Digital Edition offers, then buy it via Origin. :D

@Showoff45Cornerback also, i called game stop, they start processing shipping of game for pre orders on the 13th of december so that those of us that paid for overnight shipping will be garanteed to have it on the 15th in time for the 5 day early access
