500hp,500kg, technology well below F1's in 1973, you sir are a man of greatness for keeping it on the road.

I was driving a very well prepared almost 200HP Lotus Europa as my street car back then, so I was used to 150plus on open country roads. Today they put you in jail and fine you thousands for such antics. I have been trying in vain to trace Terry's car, and found nothing. The next owner wrecked it at Portland International Raceway. It was at the local Lola dealer for a few years in lots of bits. It hit concrete wall backwards, took out trans, engine and a lot of the tub. Sad. Jennifer

I was there last year in preference to the GP. I have not enjoyed myself so much with my clothes on in years. Intend to be back there for 2008. My 80 year old father is planning a trip from Europe to coincide. Do you mean Sandown in Nov 2007? If so try to see you there.
I love the music!
I love the cars
You cant beat incar footage no matter how hard you try.
I have plenty of footage from all the media vantage points from the 2007 weekend but havent reproduced due to a broken camera but will in the new year.
I have the race start from sunday where one of the cars leaves the track entering the main straight! Manages to hold on with no carnage. The footage was from the pit wall. I will have to get it online new year.
Thanks for the incar

I sat out the last race at PI, I gace my car to Stan to drive as he had car troubles but still had a shot at the title. Consequently, I was watching from the side of the track when the Frank Lyons had his woopsie. Talking to him afterwards, he fair shat himself. Love to see the video!!!!!

Totally spoilt for me by the music. Not the choice of music so much but there is no sweeter or more appropriate sound than the engine noise. Nice car but...

I must agree but my incar mic sounds awful currently.
I see from your site that you are an Aussie. The F5000's, as part of the Tasman Revival Series, will be at Phillip Island again in early March 2008. We expect an international grid of around 30 F5000's. It's still possible that we may be a support race for the Melbourne F1GP the following weekend although this is far from a done deal. Next time we'll be in Australia will probably be Nov 2008 at Sandown.
Come join us...

Back in the early 80s a friend of mine in Oregon USA had a T332 for SCCA club racing. Traco Chevy engine, webers, what a car! I had a chance to drive it once when it was in possession of the engine guy. 15 minutes on open country roads, 200MPH Truly a life changing experience.

Bloody hell! Not sure I'd want to go hard out in my car on country roads. You must have big kahoongas!
I understand about the life changing bit however.
A large number of NZ F5000's [maybe as many as 20 = 10,000 bhp !!] will be making their way over to the US late August/early Sept to help celebrate the 40th Anniversary of F5000's in the US. We will be racing at Watkins Glen and possibly Road America. There could be grids of as many as 30-40 F5000's. [who needs viagra!!!] See you there...
