And, what most people also don't realize...Irish dance IS a sport! You train really hard, and one usually competes. What do you do in soccer, golf, volleyball, etc? Train really hard, and compete!

@clarabells22 I'm an Irish Dancer as well and watching it a second time, I suppose you're right. She could just pick her feet up a little which would also make her look like she's getting higher off the ground. :)

I wish i could do this kind of dancing im what i like to call Americanirish because i was born here but my whole family is irish. Any tips on how to get better?

tlc has all these stupid shows about kids in pageants and looking cute. if they did a show on competitive irish step dancers, it would actually be worth watching. so much work, time and effort goes into preparing for competitions and besides having a nice dress and perfect wig, you have to be a GOOD fucking dancer.

Many people don't realize the stamina required for Irish Step dancing. I think it can sometimes be more strenuous than many sports!
I give you dancers a lot of credit. Keep up the great work : )

very nice rhythm, but watch timing as you went slightly off a few times, but oher wise lovely
