  • The Best armor in the world is, by not going to war.

  • @No603Scope You cannot compare Canadian and American war Technology. Canadians have much older technology. Not as much money is put into the Canadian military as the American. But Canadians are doing something... i mean their death rate is quite low.

  • @akzo74 that is why i suggested carbon nanotubes.

  • @iPwntNubs graphene is by definition an atomic layer as characterized by sp2 bonding...if you try to bond multiple layers you'll change the bonding and end up with graphite, Plus hardness is not force per area that's stress, hardness is the force of an indenter divided by the normalized affected area.

  • @akzo74 lol? unit of force acted on the armour per unit of thickness. graphene is merely a name for the substance... doesn't mean it have to limited to a number of hexagonal rings of carbon.

  • @iPwntNubs "as hard as graphene", how are you measuring the hardness of something that's only an atomic layer thick?

  • the next best armour is made of carbon nanotubes which are extremely light and is almost as hard as graphene (strongest material known to man)

  • @jamespuckett1

liza meyers tested it in a german military facility where they shot it with a 50 caliber incindiary round and it didn't penetrate it

  • Its all about contract and the money that follows..

  • This stuff has failed separate and multiple testing by the Army (twice, once under extreme Congressional scrutiny), the Marines, and the NIJ. Instead of fixing his product, Murray whined to the press even more. It falls apart when exposed to things like heat and hydraulic fluid (as used in M1 Abrams, M2/M3 Bradleys, M113, most trucks, Strykers, ASVs, MRAPS, etc).
