brett scallions singing the song daniel cold live at the chapel. Very few people can cover a song and have it be as great as this, i have always said nothing beats the original, but in this very rare case, brett's version of daniel beats the original.

knowbody is saying its close to eltons version, just that many prefer bretts version, I love both but for me bretts has more feeling behind it, just my opinion. But like i said, love them both, the song is awesome.

The song is definitely awesome. I have been in the music business for 12 Years. Brett cannot hold a candle to Elton with respect to voice, talent, feeling, or anything else for that matter. This version is atrocious and I cannot believe anyone would think differently. But to each his own.

His voice, the energy and emotions he puts into this song is what makes this version spectacular, which is why alot of people like it, brett is definitely talented. you are entitled to your opinion, and I respect it, i just dont agree with it.

they didnt steal, and i actually find it a sign of respect when someone covers a song. stealing would be taking a song that someone else wrote, and calling it yours, giving no recognition to the person or band who happened to write it.

The acoustic guitar really compliments the sorrow of this song. I find it better and sadder than Elton Johns.
