I live in Canada, and donated bone marrow once, and peripheral stem cells four times for my cousin. I tried to sign up for the Bone Marrow registry, which is, as far as I know, an Inernational database of bone marrow donors. I was told by the Canadian agency that because I had donated once, I couldn't register, and that I could never donate again. I don't want to be compensated...I just want to be able to help.

Have recently been matched by Anthony Nolan and donated (25 years on their register) - nobody should underestimate their potential to help others...life is for giving!!

JeriLynn, thank you so much for doing this video and sending out such a wonderful message! I'm a Kidney Transplant patient, had my transplant in 1996 as well [thankfully, my mother was a perfect match], so I highly believe in donation of bone marrow, organs, blood... for others to give whatever they can to those of us who need it. You and your daughter are truly inspirational. Thank you. :-)

i'm really sorry to hear about your daughter. my freind delaneyelise shared this vid with me. i must say i really feel bad for your daughter. i don't think i could be a match, but i can see about sharing this video with my freinds, and maybe a t least one of them can be of help somehow. i really hop i can be of some help by doing this.

You are a sweetheart, but my daughter is healthy now! She has been cancer free for 11 years after her bone marrow transplant. We hope this video encourages others to get on a Bone Marrow Registry somewhere!
