Deb Chaney, SCA is a professional abstract artist working in mixed media, acrylics and collage - painting small and large paintings on canvas, panel and paper. Currently Deb Chaney offers three 2-day intensive workshops & a retreat:

1) 'Energizing and Experimental: an introduction to abstract painting in mixed media and acrylics focussing on creative process with focus on design and colour.'

2) Thick & Layered Acrylic Painting: an advanced experience allowing participants to build & dig back into thick layers of acrylics and mixed media; exploring transparent, translucent & opaque layers. Sanding, Etching & Removal Techniques are the beginning of the fun.

3) Collage Creations: Learn the fundamentals of creating art using collage. Stained papers, marbling, split ink, gold leaf, transfers, lazertran & embedded objects.

Deb also hosts Illuminate the Artist Within(TM) retreat/workshop which is a 3- 5 day experience for artists looking to delve deeper into the inner creative process and spiritual nature of art making.
