Our animal enrichment program is always looking for new and safe ways to keep our cats entertained. Senior keeper Barbara came up with an idea of wrapping cow tails up in paper so that the tigers had to work for their treats. Watch as the tigers get cow tails for the first time. This pod cast also includes some tiger facts as well. With around 5,000 of these animal left in the wild, we need to take action right now for their survival.
Human over population and illegal trade in their body parts have led them to the brink of extinction. We simply need to support programs that save their habitat around the globe.

  • i think great powers lke america, russia europe etc are capable enough to catch or prevent those criminals who hunt these animals i think they should do as much as they are doing against terrorism. is there something a common person like me can do besides donating for the organization especially if i don't have funds.

  • @TheDanceofjoy You're right, you can visit our website CatLaws*com all the current issues are posted there along with ways you can contact state representatives etc... about laws we are trying to get passed.

  • were all the tigers retired from the circus

  • @pokelover66544 no, we have many that were former "pets" also and roadside zoo rescues etc...

  • do you breed these cats?

  • No we don't breed, this would just be adding to the problem of these cats living in cages, when there are so many out there living in poor conditions that need rescuing.

  • These cats are truely beautiful! They seem to be having lots of fun in the program~! If I get any ideas for enrichment, I'll let you guys know! :)

  • 1:35 so cute!!!!! just like how a normal domestic cat would be acting....

  • aww, i like how flavio so gently unwrapped his cow tail, cute <3

  • i would die for a tiger thumbs up if u would too

  • @MinkisBaby No, unfortunately he passed away in 2008, he is missed :(

  • impossible, in this video u said a tigers bite forse is 4,000-6,000 pounds.. im sorry but that is incorrect a tigers bite forse is 600-800 the strongest animals bite force is 2,500 which is a crocodile .. just correction mate

  • one time a friend of mine (ex zookeeper in Mexico City) told me something that even when big cats use their "death bite" as a tool to chock to dead its preys, they prints its max pressure when they're feeding, unlike canines who use their jaws as first weapon to attack, so they print more pressure at the "first bite" than cats even the big ones.

  • Human over population is not true! Human intervention is more of a problem. Humans wipe out their natural habitat for farming that's the issue. Not over population. I dont know if you have ever been in airplane but you need to be to see how small we really are.

  • Awww. I've seen human children acting like Buffy- WOW, packaging!

  • Buffy: "Aw, is that for mee?? Oh..That's nasty...I'll just keep the wrapping paper."
