japanese influence is very strong among countries with a high chinese population. My first and only taste of this was when I was 5 years old in Singapore. This was back in 1990. It had cheese in it, but because I was quite young at that time, I did not know how to enjoy it. Now when I watch this I am craving some.

waaah japanese are like pro at baking and stuff

The one in here is in a department store, so it's naturally much cleaner than the one you mentioned, I suppose.
I think average JPN ppl are obsessed with cleanness so that I think those stores are OK. By the way, have you been there all day to watch they clean the tools? That's a not usual way to spend your precious day...XD

...and they don't clean their tools nearly as much as they should (twice a day at least). I've lived in Tokyo before. That's why despite being tasty I'd never go back. Dirty bastards trying to cut corners.

looks like a fun job.
they don't need gloves on cooking this one.. first thing try cooking in a hot place like they do plastic gloves can burn on this conditions u know so as vinyl and rubber type ones.. and on second thought using cloth gloves will just add more bacteria since ur cooking sauces and stuff.. try using gloves while baking this u might find it irritating..

Yeah, you are right. Definitely we don't want melted gloves in Taiyaki. I'm not familiar with Japanese food handling regulations, but in the U.S. they were required to wear them if the vendors are handling food and money at the same time.
