I thought it was only me. I am at goal for months now almost a year post op and I am running also. I am at the now what stage because i dont want to regain but maintain. running a 10k in december and half in March. im excited! keeep posting, lets me know that im not the only one and i have someone to look up to who is further along on this journey. thanks
amy - i think it is about the "now what"?!? And the success that you have created with losing weight. It is very rewarding to see that scale go down and celebrate that victory. My now what has been fitness goals and accomplishments for over 1.5 years now. And I still find myself asking "now what" and "what is next"? At this point it is NOT about more weight loss - it is not. For you it is about that six pack? The half next week? the full in march? building more muscle? great topic!
I understand how you feel about the desire to reach for more goals. I have been at goal now for about a year and there are times that I say to myself, "Now what?"
That is the very reason I keep set new running goals for myself, it gives me something to reach for. Plus I need something that is all "mine".
yea for the non scale victory of 1.5lbs on vacation. I'm 1 lbs up myself and I'm not going back on program until Monday. I love my sleeve. Just love it! It truly helps me control my portions! Yea, Yea! Yea
I HEAR YOU! about the thinner- and why do we think we could lose some more--- it is so hard to find that illusive peace. I totally don't need to be even the 130-- but I am.
I totally understand where you are coming from. I've been in maintenance since July and I feel a little bored. I really miss the challenge of the reduction phase. I get on the scale every week and am the same weight, which is good, but really not that challenging to me.
