"Wonder" from the musical. Shown at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in London.

Characters: Galadriel

Lyrics:
I sang of leaves, of leaves of gold, and leaves there grew
Of wind I sang, a wind there came and in them blew
Lothlorien
In light I wove a secret land of timeless joy
My perfect child no mortal hand could dare destroy
Lothlorien

Beyond the sun
Beyond the moon
Wonder
Wonder

Shine forever
Beacon of light
Blaze in the air
Vanquishing night
Live forever
Held like a breath
Deep at the core
Blossom in death

My golden leaves will fade and fall through branching years
Through sweet the song yet sweeter still shall be the tears
The night must come, the shadows grow, the dark descends
And all we love and all we know must reach an end
Lothlorien

Though worlds will die and worlds will grow Out of death, life
Out of night, day, glory from sorrow
Out of grief, joy
Out of storm, comes strength for tomorrow
Out of dust, gold
Out of fire, air, comfort forsaken
Out of rage, calm
Out of loss, find, glory awaken

Shine forever
Beacon of light
Blaze in the air
Vanquishing night
Sing forever
Proud and strong
Anthem of life
Conquering song

Though tides of fate, onward run
The song of hope
Once begun,
Will evermore
Remain

  • This is the quentessential song to reflect the true saddness of Lothlorien's fate, and really, it reflects the fate of life. What is grand and lovely must at some time "fade and fall." Yet we must still have hope.

  • Just so you know her name is Laura Michelle Kelly, if she happens to perform where you can see her, now you'll know who she is. She's a lovely person also.

  • Beautiful song sang beautifully

Too bad I only found out this musical was this good right now, cox now it's closed and the original cast are doing other things outside of their old english stage acting careers

  • I'd like to hear it sang in Quenya

  • @prosperitycraft nopeee sorry :/ in the book gollum accidently falls in while he celebrates getting his ring back

  • Help! I cant stop listening to this its so beautiful ilove Laura Michelle Kelly!!!!

  • My sister thinks that the "Lothlorien"s in this song are really irrelevent.

I think she has no soul.

  • @fizzlepops1 can i have the blink to it

  • @DazzledRose3193 In the book, Gollum falls in accidentally after taking the ring from Frodo. In the film, they decided it would be too anti-climactic to just have Gollum fall in on his own, so they had Frodo fighting over the ring with him. In the musical, I guess they decided to bring out Gollum's goodness instead of his evilness by saving Frodo from the power of the ring. Either way, Gollum dies destroying the ring (by his choice or not)

  • 3:00 - 3:40 Musical perfection

  • @ExRapunze93 my friend has made one, laura still echoes tho.....
