  • Like the vibe, Paul. Thanks.

  • uhm, what does the chinese say?

  • this guy comes off like some kind of hyperintellectual, but when you actually pay attention to what he's saying (across multiple interviews and lectures), you start to realize he's just a name-dropper, recycling the same half-baked analyses of art history. it's like, i've never heard someone who can talk so much while saying so little. he's a tight dj, though, can't take that away from him.

  • @professorKmusic Yes.. way too much HOT AIR

  • When downloading songs blew up in the nineties, people were violently complaining about artists not getting their due money from traditional record sales. I would tell them that free music downloading is a good thing, it would stop paying for millionaire superstars mansions and give lesser known artists some accessibility to the masses. The industry has changed, and we now have smaller scale high quality shit from great artists like DJ Spooky.

  • but he didnt invent the lightbulb moron, he invented a vaccum sealed light bulb, improving upon older technology, IE, he just changed what someone else invented.

  • @heoko Wrong, he did indeed invent the phonograph there's no doubt about that. Some later inventions he put his name on were the work of his colleagues that worked for his company. The phonograph and the light bulb though, all Edison.

  • @milohendrix Economics is the study of society and psychology. The soul of economics is in incentives; why people do what they do and what they're willing to give up, and what they're willing to give it up for...from a dollar for a Big Mac, to their very lives for freedom...to call it soulless is simply ignorant.

  • dj spooky is cool he thinks too much though too deep for his own good

  • @heoko ok that comment was utterly ridiculous....You apparently are uneducated, go back to school...
