lots of baby birds get brought into the wildlife care center in the spring. The majority of them are songbirds, but some baby birds of prey get brought in as well, including a nestful of owls.. I have 3 young Great Horned Owl videos you might enjoy. At the time I made the video I forgot which kind of hawk this was even though I fed these birds once before, but this time they were being fed by a cute young woman .. and cute women scramble my brain, especially brunettes! (and a smart one who is nice and loves animals.. even better! It's probably a good thing that she worked mostly inside and I worked mostly outside, because if I worked around her often I would have made lots of mistakes.)

  • Im a volunteer at audubon center for birds and we have to wear camo and play the song of the bird were working with

  • @Meives79 That's better than how we did it, I'm guessing. I think we might have ended up with a couple imprinted crows, and one hawk during a year I was volunteering, but I don't think it was either of these.

I didn't often work with baby birds.. quite rare for me. I spent most of my time taking care of juvenile and adult songbirds and raptors.

  • Them hawks are going to be imprinted

  • @Meives79 nope, didn't happen.

  • Amazing! You might also like to watch this one I just did. Search this title: "Red-Tailed Hawk Chicks: Learning to Fly" Shows babies, and parents bringing gophers and snakes and the learning flying process.

  • @bucknboo Excellent! Please post it here as a video response. It won't come up right away, because I will have to approve it. I will approve the video as soon as I can.

  • Audubon center of birds of prey sorry

  • @thetripleh885 We're supposed to handle them as little as possible so they don't get used to us. We don't want them to become tame, because we need to release them once they have grown large enough. But yes, they really are cute. They eventually get a LOT bigger.

  • They are sooo cuuute

    I want to touch them.
