Nice track to discover. Just before the Joshua Tree Tour, their best LP and one of their best tours. U2 at its best. Though I admit, he should´ve known that it didn´t happen "in the year of 88"..;-) Give ´em a break, in the eighties they were one of the best.

Interesting. Really messed up the lyrics and message but I can see in this more poetic and powerful song then any I know from U2 an inspiration for work they later did. McColl, a real socialist, knew how to say things directly and yet with polish.

Wow, what a great song. I'm sorry to hear that the lyrics sung weren't consistent with the original, but I feel that Bono and the guys did their best (which was pretty impressive here) and had good intentions.
