Hey man i have a question, so if you do the 2nd option, amm i only have one hard drive, amm you can still acces your files and all that staff, but once the files are there can you still double boot from it or its not going to say that i had XP,

If you only have one hard drive and you choose to do a clean install of an operating system it will delete everything. It'll delete your files, programs, and even your previous operating system. If you need to dual boot with only one hard drive you should make a separate partition of the hard drive in the disk drive manager.

well im hoping i understand your question right, but to answer the first part operating systems are installed on the hardware so you can install any operating system onto your computer as long as you have the hard drive space, except you cant install leopard on a pc by ordinary means, so basically yes you can. as for far cry 2, you can install it on a dual booted os, but i think far cry 2 has directx 10 which windows xp doesnt support, but if you look at the box and it says xp youre good

haha thanks a lot, and yeah my pc is basically a dream computer although it is admittedly a bit overpriced so if you get enough money for an alienware desktop id recommend you build your own if you know how, but im not complaining about mine haha =]
