The very fact that people say we need to "reinvent Christianity" only reveals their ignorance of what Christianity is. It is simply a relationship with God, and that is not something that you invent in the first place. God did not come out of the minds of man, but He created us! Many of these Emerging Church followers clearly do not have this relationship, and it is therefore they who are being legalistic.

we do not have to re invent christianity WE HAVE TO BELIEVE IT.

it is our unbelief and hypocrisy that persuaded the emergent types, for when the emergent types say that our religion is too legalistic and dry THEY ARE QUITE RIGHT

but our religion was heresy also .

the dichtomy the critic here raise between objective truth and subjective experience IS FALSE.

the Bible says TASTE AND SEE THE LORD IS GOOD. real faith is an experience as well as doctrinal

I appreciate the ideal of irrational faith but Christianity is not a rational religion. If one decided to prove God exists or that we can prove the bible is infallible and inerrantis really opposes faith. Saying this, I do appreciate the effortsd to teach others the truth-am not against this-just a minor ideal of ratilonal faith. I do know-there is a lot of witchcraft in the emergent church. When seeing this-does it make sense to see the motifs are about rebellion in the emergent church?
