Not a hugely dramatic video, but just shows that police are still enforcing SOCPA and, although this police officer was very civil, he still denied us our human rights to protest in this area. This was just 3 people leafleting on this occasion. SOCPA says that you have to give written notice, giving the name of the 'organiser' of the demonstration, his/her address, contact details, and you have to fill in a form about how many people you're expecting etc. just to do a protest. This crazy Draconian law must be repealed.
Protest by right, not police permission!

I do have to say that the police in the UK seem to be more courteous than American police.

This guy is just a tit wasting police officers time! This poxy country not only has liberal shitheads like this running around, but also Communist bastards in power. No wonder the rest of us who work for a living and abide by the law are fucked! Be careful everyone who has a go at this guy, he is the kind that would rant about Human rights, then get you kicked off of a here for giving your opinion of him lol. Waste of space!

Alan buttle get a life. Policing is hard enough without people like yoiu wasting their time.
Just what is the matter with you? "Human rights" - don't be so silly, you're just going around wasting policemen's time. I know probably you are within the law as it is written but come on, be reasonable. Also, why does a free society mean having to tolerate your nonsense whilst trying to do your work?
rlt197 2 years ago
We did not ask for police interferance - we were just carrying out a perfectly legal and peaceful demonstration. They decide to "waste" their own time, not us. If we had the choice of having police there or not, which do you think we would chose!?
