It`s the opening chorus (Herr unser Herscher) from Bach's Johannespassion from a performance in Graz in 1985.

The soloists from the choir were Helmut Wittek and Christoph Wegmann, soprano, and Panito Iconomou and Christian Immler, alto

Look closer to the boy in the second line, that little one with dark curly hair. He really enjoy the music.

@maestrovoci I woulnd't say that it's unusual for "children of this age" to react to music. These are serious musicians who have every understanding of the music.

Just a comment or two ... sometimes a boy will overact like that and he is showing off ... or he could justifiably be reacting to the music, feeling the beat, and letting go of himself! That is truly rare in children of this age! Enjoy the fact we have this wonderful performance on video after so many years.

´Zerlina12´, ´maestrovoci´ a.o.: To me the small dark-and-curly-haired boy looks very like Tobias Eiwanger - only I don´t know if he was that over-lively into his choir singing... (much more restrained as soloist...) But that Summer 1985 he definitely must have been qualified for selection even to this very special occasion, as he shortly afterwards was the TKC soprano soloist chosen for 4 of L:s & H:s Bach cantatas Autumn -85 - Summer -86 (after Bergius but before Wittek).
